The 308 BLK custom barrel is the compromise and will be OK for supersonic and OK for subsonic. Long barrels and slow twists mean not subsonic friendly. 18" 1:8 twist.Ī factory length of 20" or longer with twists of 1:10 or slower will give you vertical stringing.
The only way to make a 308 work was with the AAC 308 Blackout barrel. Accuracy is marginal with any long shots a crap shoot since the FPS is so far off.
